Terms & Conditions of Sale

These terms govern your purchase and use of the Havenscar digital companion sold by Wild Hearts Publishing Pty Ltd (ABN 34 695 911 025) (“we”, “us”). By buying or using it, you agree to them.

1. What we sell

We sell a digital companion app for Mayhem: Havenscar Edition, a tabletop game of political intrigue. The companion runs the cards, provinces, resources and chaos draws for a session that you host. It is a work of fiction; nothing in it describes real people, places or events.

2. Your licence to use it

When you buy, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to host and play the game for your own private, social gatherings. You may not:

• use it for public performance, ticketed or commercial events, or any paid activity;
• copy, resell or redistribute it, or share your access code broadly;
• reverse-engineer or repackage the content.

If you would like to run Havenscar commercially, at a venue, convention or event, contact us about a commercial licence.

3. Access codes

After payment you receive an access code by email. That code is what unlocks the companion and lets you host sessions. Treat it like a key: it is issued to you, and sharing it is a breach of the licence above. If you lose it, you can have it sent to you again from the access page. We may cancel a code that is being shared or resold.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in Australian dollars. No GST is charged, as Wild Hearts Publishing Pty Ltd is not currently registered for GST. Payment is processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. We may change our prices, but a change will not affect a purchase you have already made.

5. Delivery

The product is digital. Your access code is issued as soon as your payment is confirmed, and emailed to the address you used at checkout. There is nothing physical to ship.

6. What is included

Every product on our pricing page is available in full at the moment of purchase:

• Mayhem: Havenscar Edition (base game) — the complete digital companion: all 469 game cards with narration, the 62-province board across three playable tiers, faction dashboards, the Bag of Mayhem, and hosting for sessions of up to 6 players.
• The Long Dark expansion — the winter campaign scenario, the Dark Deck, the Bag of the Long Dark, seasonal province effects and The Unravelling end-game. An expansion access code hosts The Long Dark scenario in full; hosting the standard Havenscar scenario requires the base game or the bundle.
• Complete Bundle — both of the above on a single access code.

Two small pieces of audio narration are still being recorded and will be added as free updates: voice narration for The Long Dark’s new content, and narration for twelve of the sixty-two provinces (all provinces are fully playable today). No gameplay or content is withheld pending these recordings.

7. Intellectual property

The game, its writing, artwork, audio and software remain the property of Wild Hearts Publishing Pty Ltd and its licensors. Your purchase gives you a licence to use them, not ownership of them.

8. Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Availability and our liability

We may add, update or withdraw features. To the extent permitted by law, and subject to your consumer rights above, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the product in question.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state. Nothing in this clause limits any right you have to bring a claim under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live.
